Once you've read Kafka on the Shore, you'll need to begin to unravel some of the enigma within it. One of the biggest questions is whether Johnnie Walker is Kafka's dad. To find the answer you need to read pages 186-188 of Extremes: Contradictions in Contemporary Japan by G M Thomas. ISBN 0-9546789-0-7
Here you'll find a description of the real Johnnie Walker - he does exist you see.
    Wierd or what?

About us

Best described as a Murakami detox support group, we're all fans of the quirkily brilliant Japanese author, Haruki Murakami, and writing about such things as films we've seen recently and books we're reading (not to mention meandering musings on the man's work, of course) helps us to pass time while waiting for the next book from Haruki-baby.
