Bettah late than nevah

That was for November 6. Hope you had fun realigning your chakras! ;) (Jojo, I wanted to do a scroll/marquee greeting here, but it was mucking up the blog. So di bale na lang.)

Useless stuff that kept me busy:
- making my own desktop wallpapers and color-printing these into mini-posters for my room using office mat'ls and equipment. DIY rules! (Done: 2046, Franz Ferdinand, Elliott Smith. To follow: Chungking Express, In the Mood for Love, Amelie, Badly Drawn Boy)
- watching music videos on the sly at work via Launch
- downloading more MP3s (especially by Interpol, Thievery Corporation, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, and the mighty Franz Ferdinand)
- reading that mile-long Salon praise for Christian Bale. Made me wanna go to Quiapo and buy all the pirated Bale DVDs I could find...

Ich heisse superfantastisch!

Finally bought Franz's debut album last month. At P395 at Tower, all 11 tracks are worth it. Faves: Take Me Out, Darts of Pleasure, Michael (sooo homoerotic!), Cheating on You, This Fire, The Dark of the Matinee, 40'. Check out the vids in their site's 'Media' section, then go to 'Movies.' Darts of Pleasure's teeth POV and the choreographed dancing in Matinee are hilarious!

Movies I missed: Before Sunset. Waah! Was out of town kasi. So I just watched a VCD of Before Sunrise. Also heard from most everyone that The Incredibles was terrific, and wasn't surprised when I learned it was written and directed by Brad Bird, who also made the film version of Ted Hughes' excellent The Iron Giant. Kewl.

About us

Best described as a Murakami detox support group, we're all fans of the quirkily brilliant Japanese author, Haruki Murakami, and writing about such things as films we've seen recently and books we're reading (not to mention meandering musings on the man's work, of course) helps us to pass time while waiting for the next book from Haruki-baby.
