Call for Submissions

The VespertinePress publishes the finest work of emerging and established Asian writers. Literary talents are encouraged to inspire us with their unique tales and compelling voices. We also encourage submissions from non-Asian writers. Our first 2005 edition is scheduled for release in late October 2004.

GUIDELINES – Writers can submit their original, unpublished short fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. We will consider memoirs, essays, translations, and self-contained excerpts of a novel. All submissions must be written in English. Writers do not need to submit manuscripts with cultural themes; simply send us your best piece. Selected authors will receive $50-150 for their published work. Click here for more info.

About us

Best described as a Murakami detox support group, we're all fans of the quirkily brilliant Japanese author, Haruki Murakami, and writing about such things as films we've seen recently and books we're reading (not to mention meandering musings on the man's work, of course) helps us to pass time while waiting for the next book from Haruki-baby.
